We've intercepted an increasing amount of internet traffic regarding Pacific View. Has it been saved for the people? An art center? A place to walk to? A place for public participation?
Another question: is the FIX in on the Contractor (for whatever goes there? Seems Walds "fiberglass shower-enclosure" mentality (as in Pacific Station) dosen't quite jibe w/the Hubbells' aesthetic.
As the old saying goes, "The devil is in the details." But it seems like the proposal from the ArtPulse organization will result in a first class visual and performing art facility, and includes a place on the property for the Old Schoolhouse, near the spot where it was originally built.
Fair to say, the blog is dying if not dead. I salute the two of you for keeping up such a useful tool for our citizens voices. some times peoples feelings were hurt, egos shattered, thruths told, and untruths spread to the avail, and yet its has been much better than any news channel for sure. Reporting raw live footage of hot issues of Encinitas and seeing how it unfolds. It can not get any better.
Me personally, I am getting ready to move to Solana Beach. I can't stand this stench hole called Encinitas, where the union bosses and developers control all the votes of City Council. You can see it in the way that Solana Beach is getting nicer, and Encinitas is getting more crowed and more like Carlsbad. Sorry but sometimes the truth hurts. I am glad I have sold all three of my Encinitas properties. Get out before the crash that will occur when the public finds out that Encinitas has huge liabilities for their parks and employee pensions that they can't pay. They are toast. They are fried chicken. They are done.
Sorry folks sell now because Ive seen the writing on the wall. Jerome Stocks has made Encinitas the Bell of North county san diego. Sad.
Later Gators. Remember your the suckers that voted in these LOSERS now reap the whirlwind MF. You'll turn out like Oxnard.

ReplyDeleteThe term: "one-sack contractor" comes to mind.

ReplyDeleteMaybe we think our Town is worth fighting for.
I'm sure SB will welcome you, and your positive attitude....until s^*t dosen't go 'your way' then you'll badmouth them as well.
So long 'MoFo. Continue on your quest for utopia.
9:38 I know a politician who moved from Encintas to Solana Beach. Turned out to be a good thing. It raise the IQ of both cities.
ReplyDeleteAn Art Center?? Trojan Horse being pulled past the gates?
ReplyDeletePerhaps Art Center for only as long as it's viable, then more housing, and we're back to where we started.
ReplyDeleteI would watch the wording very carefully for the exit strategy.
