  7. Fred is great, but I wish he would clean up his property. It is not the kind of image we want for Leucadia.

  8. You mean you don't like the way he always repaints the Caldwell sign, or has cool stuff displayed out front or how he tiled in his own sidewalk and you don't like all the tikis at Bamboo 2 U?

Go back to your Starbucks safe zone.

  9. No, I don't like the camper shell and other junk in the front yard.

The sign is great, the junk is not.

  10. Gosh, even with a saint like Fred no one goes untarnished in this blog.

A little funk and different junk go along way.

Fred and family have been living and working there for decades and I would guess that they lead one of the least impact lives out of us all. Fred for the most part rides mass transit when possible and is the ultimate recycler of old cool stuff!

He and his pad are assets to Leucadia and reflect the diversity, sometimes slower or laid back cool ways of life, and color that makes Leucadia what it is.

  11. Fred takes care of his place and cares for Leucadia. I am happy that Fred lives in this town.

Who owns those derelict lots next to Fred?

  12. The lot to the south is part of the Caldwell empire. It looks like they live in that house behind the shop. It has a metal storage shed and a camper shell in the front yard. It would be great if they moved that stuff to the backyard, like most people do.

Fred and his family are great, but I hope that no one thinks that their property is a shining example of how things should look in Leucadia, along Coast Highway.

  13. So much for private property rights around here. May we tour your property? Will it pass the white glove test?

  14. Some people are so CONTROLLING. Some will not be satisfied until we all live in psuedo gated communities. And previous poster is right, they don't care about anyone else's property rights, or individuality of expression.

I like Fred, and agree: he's an asset to our community of Leucadia. Thanks Fred!

  16. I never even noticed that camper until this morning. When I drive by my eyes see the classic Caldwell sign and the tiki shop.

I did notice that the lot next door is finally getting graded.

Thank you for posting on the Leucadia Blog.
There is nothing more powerful on this Earth than an anonymous opinion on the Internet.
