Walmart to Improve Our Lives

  1. I can't think of even one way having a Walmart in Encinitas will improve my life. I can think of numerous ways a nearby Walmart will detract from my life.

  2. I will never shop at that evil ghetto store. Any one that does is trash.

  3. Did you hear? They changed the name of Encinitas Ranch to Walmart Ranch!

What an improvement. Its Jerome Stocks favorite store, which is the reason why he welcomes them to our community. That and anyway to get more revenue to support the City's huge pension obligations.

  4. Are they going to allow RV parking in this one like they do at other Walmarts?

I might just have a "staycation" in the old Winnebago next summer!

  5. The Walmart's goal of being run by 100% renewable energy and creating 0 landfill waste seems only achievable through non-existence.

  6. What a joke, Walmart next to Target next to Kohl's etc., etc., how many junky retail stores does one city need? I have never shopped at Walmart and never will.

  7. Remember when Jerome Stocks , Kristin Gaspar and James Bond threw out all of the names presented by the Parks and Rec. Commission for the Hall Property special use sprots park and decided to call it Encinitas Community Park.. At that time Kristin said I know it's not a community park by city code and standards but everyone will forget that if we name it a community park. Jerome said if we name it a community park we can sell naming rights to the sports fields. At that time Stocks and Gaspar were well aware of the fact that Wallmart was coming. I think that Jerome and Gaspar both want Wallmart and need Wallmart. Now Wallmart can buy the naming rights to the park. It can be the Encinitas Wallmart Community Sports Park. Now they can get more revenue from Wallmart to build the park. Also, Wallmart could give a discount on sports equipment purchased by the soccer and baseball leagues. Jerome Stocks and James Bond recently said everyone was going to like Wallmart.

  9. Kathleen,

Excellent suggestion, but I would call it the Encinitas Ranch Walmart Sports Park.

Because, really, Walmart is at Encinitas Ranch within a half mile of the McMansions.

Walmart belongs to Encinitas Ranch, not Cardiff, Leucadia, Old Encinitas, or Olivenhain.

Let's give the Encinitas Ranch Walmart its due!

  10. Welcome Walmart Ranch..... Ghetto Encinitas.

Brought to you by the team of Stocks and Muir.

Gaspar can't be to pleased by this..... she just entered the territory of ghetto land. her pumps are going to look pretty funny next to Walmart sweats and ghetto shoes. Too Funny. Her neighborhood home prices just went down in value 25%. Wait until her neighbors learn that she supports the ghetto crowd. Anything for city pensions right?

  14. I don't think it helps to criticize the people who shop at Walmart - many of them are struggling to meet their needs in a difficult economy. I am concerned about the lost opportunity for better jobs and healthier economic growth - not built on the backs of workers earning minimum wage and minimal benefits here and even worse conditions where the products are made abroad.

  15. People who shop at Walmart are supporting walmart and the business model. People that shop at Walmart are a big part of the problem and are ghetto.

  16. I went to American Apparel because I got a 50% off groupOn Coupon. The underwear cost me $6/each (that's 50% off). It was made in downtown LA. Why am I a sinner to wear walmart underwear (or no underwear at all most of the time) when it costs less, and they don't hire illegal immigrants like American Apparel does?

  17. You are calling yourself sinner. I am calling you ghetto if you shop at Walmart. Walmart is pure ghetto. Anyway you look at it.
