Those cobblestones were such a drag for decades. But it never ceases to amaze me, than whenever you see movies or postcards of exotic tropical shores, palm trees frame every view, every sunset. For 6 miles of Encinitas we have ONE big canary palm that is of any note on a beach. I guess in Encinitas people think palm trees will inhibit their ocean view, decreasing their property value. Same goes for about every other coastal town in San Diego County. I'm just sayin'
It looks better than the crime-scene tape that was on the beach.
