Sales Prevention Squad Ups Operations in Leucadia Business District

Beware coastal Leucadia dwellers, the Sheriff Swat Buggy is writing tickets to tax payers for crossing the train tracks.
Will the shadowy NCTD (North County Transit District) and the city of Encinitas ever provide adequate pedestrian infrastructure in the coastal Leucadia business corridor???

  1. That is just pure BS. City Council should step in and tell the Police to back off.

Where is Tony Kranz? ….he is supposed to better represent us on NCTD. Is he just another puppet?

  2. Local merchants should validate those tickets like they do at high end parking garages.
Then return the tickets to City Hall for a tax credit. win win

  3. It's railroad property. The city has no real say in it.

  4. That's right, Mike. But I believe at-grade crossings are the only sensible remedy. Six million dollar man holes won't provide enough access and are a waste of money.

  5. So we are to cross at Leucadia BLVD or Encinitas BLVD only? WTF is that all about. Just another money making venture by the "authorities" here. They have nothing better to focus on I guess.

  6. This is not the police or railroad's problem. Why did the city approve business permits if there is not adequate parking?
