The law requires the train to blare it's horn at all "at grade" pedestrian and vehicular crossings. Leucadia Blvd is bad enough. The additional train horns would be unbearable, especially with double tracks and double the train traffic. We need the tracks recessed with a train undercrossing at Leucadia Blvd and 2 additional pedestrian overcrossings for Stone Steps and Grandview.
I agree. It is delinquent of the city to continue with the current conditions. A family of a suicide victim needs to step up and sue the city and NCTD and Amtrak for providing unsafe conditions and contributing to the death of their loved one. Perhaps that will get something done.
Yeah, right. And I suppose the family of the guy that drove off the cliff at 4th and F street will sue the city, the highway department, the car maker, and Poseidon.
Yeow, right???? Sue the city, NCTD, and Amtrak for a suicide victim's death?!!! Are you kidding me?!!! I learned how to cross the railroad tracks safely when I was 5 years old!!
