  1. Kristin Gaspar was a gamble and the developers lost. She was just not ready for the quantum leap to the big time - she could have stayed in Encinitas politics another term or two and maybe then have attempted it. But her incompetence was overwhelming and in spite of a massive monied campaign, her political ambitions come to a screeching halt. Good riddance to both the Gaspars - community sell outs.

    2. Yay Dave! He's going to continue to press the agenda we need and I'm proud to have campaigned for him!

  2. Kristin Gaspar was a wolf hidden behind big teeth, a fake smile and shallow words. Had she spent more time on council doing what she was elected to do, rather than trying to trump her fellow woman colleagues, she may have amounted to something.

She would have been a disaster on the Board of Supervisors who strive to work together nicely. Gaspar would have changed all of that and there would have been much turmoil had she been elected.

Fortunately, the voters saw through this FAKE person.

  3. Can anyone tell me what Kristin Gaspar even accomplished during her time on the Board? I guess her and her husband thought they could become the next Clinton's. Thank God Encinitas is smarter than that!!

  4. Gaspar was created by $tock$ and the Lincoln Club as a back up for his position on the council, as it was obvious his lack of popularity was going to end his political career. She was programmed and couldn't get beyond a shallow and vapid presence. It was when she thought she could play the system that she began to unravel. Even close to 3/4 of a million in campaign money couldn't push her over the next hurtle - she is now finished, as she now has the reputation as a loser. Her husband was a joke from the start and undermined his wife's local support by his ill-advised publicity stunt.

  5. Has the Supervisorial race been finalized? Why does it take so long to count absentee ballots? Aren't they supposed to be in by election day?

  6. The awful fact is that Gaspar may win. The electorate are clueless - 50% of them at least. She'll vote to add thousands of houses into the back country - forget the traffic gridlock and the water shortage.
