I saw that happen. The fire truck was driving through the intersection with a ladder a little extended and knock the sign off. It wasn't their fault because the city had replaced the lights in the signal with all yellow lights. The firefighter did the right thing with what he had. A roll of duct tape and everything is funky again.
So does the fire dept pay for all the damages?? Nope it's always the taxpayer. Who didn't retract the ladder properly?? Why not?? Did the fire captain of that truck check to make sure everything was properly placed?? Apparently not. Why not?? Let make a mountain out of a mole hill but that's only because the fire dept has the most over paid and over pensioned personal in the city....Where are the answers??
