I must admit, I love the art banner project. This year there are some good ones. If you haven't had a chance to investigate them fully while cruising down the coast highway you can scope them out on the DEMA website.
Art Banners(Sorry about the cheesy headline by the way, I'm trying to keep up with the North County Times. BOOYAH)
JP - Nice story on the banners. On another note have you checked out the NC Times today? Looks like Barret is sueing the city over building permit increases. Is that guy too much or what? First he bribes our city council members -- then he sues us. I say let him build his tract home in another city -- Adios Patterson!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Patterson and Barrett= Greedy Jackasses. Let them pay their share of costs with developing their boxes- they dont nearly pay for the negative impact they have on our existing infrastructure. Let them build the boxes in Carlsbad. Thats were they belong anyway. Encinitas desires and demands much better Architecture and land planning.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the banners. What do people do with them once they buy them?I would love one, but they are kind of big to put in my home, but then again I don't live in a McMansion. Couldn't even afford my home home now. Glad I bought 25 years ago. Got forbid if the City inspects my house. I might be in the same mess as another blogger on this blog. I sure hope nobody can really find out who the anonoymous people really are. We are all screwed if they do.Can they, J.P?
ReplyDeleteIt would be rather Orwellian (and illegal) of the city of Encinitas to hack the blogspot.com server and try to find your IP address. I wouldn't worry about it.
ReplyDeleteI love the art banners, but I am sure DEMA is profiting big time off the sales. Greed!
ReplyDeletejust checked out their home page and listen to a few of the oral histories. I must admit thats damn cool as well!
Tak Sugimoto was especially interesting as was Ida Lou Coley
