San Diego Reader features this funky Leucadia blog this week

Check it out friends and amigos, the San Diego Reader has featured this blog in their Blog Diego section. Stoked! For those of you too lazy to pick up the free weekly Reader check out the link to their website and the Blog Diego column.

Just more proof that this blog is the best blog about Leucadia on the internets.

Check out the other blogs previously featured in the Blog Diego archives.

The Reader is worth reading for Dan Bauder alone. I do miss Duncan Shepard's movie reviews but I've been a fan of the replacement, the Onion A.V. Club reviews for a longtime.

Thanks San Diego Reader!

  1. Wait just a minute here J.P., did you "flog your blog" to the Reader to earn $50 bucks?? That's what they pay!!! Needless to say you got some "'splainin to do Lucy". Well Lucy are you making $$$ off of this blog to line your pockets?? Hmmm?? Well are you??? Are you making$$$ off the hard thinking and serious postings of concerned Leucadians??? If so, that's lowwwwwwww!!!
People like Gil Forrester, no tax lady and myself, we don't come to this blog for self worship and adulation. We post deep, well thought ideas and serious intellectual concepts, like portapotties at the beaches for summer. And you are making $$$ off our postings!!! That's low. What's next?? You gonna start jumping the line-up at Beacons??

I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am!! How I feel violated, used. All for a lousy $50. Sad, so very sad........

Well I'm not gonna take it any more!!!! Ahhhhh, aahhhhhh. I want my share of that $50, pin a 20 on one of those new trees at the park, I'll find it don't you worry, and how 'bout shooting a 20 to Gil next time you see him at ciy hall. Share the wealth I say, share it , share it now!!!AAAAHHHHHH,,AAAAHHHHHHHH.

  2. Hey now, the Reader contacted me.

How much booze will a 50 spot buy me?

  3. I hate to rain on the parade, but the editor of The Reader, Jim Holman, is a wacko anti abortionist. He donated 6 million dollars to support the propostiton restricitng an underaged woman's right to choose in the last election, which did not pass, fortunately. He also uses old illustration artwork without asking the artists or paying them. I know, I'm one of the artists he tried to burn. Then when I called him on it, he tried to lo ball me. Just thought ya'll would like to know who's running the Reader. Oh yeah, the cartoonist who does "Overheard in San Diego" doesn't even live here. He lives in Georgia.

  4. I hope J.P. makes more ad dollars than the U.T. or N.C.Times or the Reader!

    Why?

Because the blog is awesome and good reading. A person should make money at what he or she does if folks find it worth paying for.

Do you think they don't get paid at the Reader?

RSPB, you write to damn well to be a bum!

me smells a fungus among us!

  5. RSP,

JP is using that money to pay for 61 weeks of the increased trash pick-up fees. You can't blame him when he is hit with fees like that.

  6. J.P.
You should use the $$$ to pay for some water for the flowers in the median, they are dry and dying!!!

  7. This came off the reader site. it is classic. good job RSPB.

Well, well, well, tooting our own horn now aren't we.!! But let's give credit where it's do.... to me the RSPB!!! It was me that called for bathrooms at Leucadia beaches, then you got on board. It was me that called for sidewalks and streetlights and then you got on board. It was me that called for flowers in the center median of 101, then you got on board. You joined the band wagon reluctantly, but you've jumped on board with both feet. Nice, but let's not forget the straw that stirs the drink.....ME, the RSPB!!! How about some paved alleyways, or paved streets for crying out loud!!! How about removing the ugly utility poles??? What about burying the damn train?!?! What about landscaping the center median from La Costa to Enc.Blvd??? How about those portapotties for the beaches??? But NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Those things aren't funky!!!! Well I'm tired of bumming in a park that is part of the laughing stock of Encinitas....Leucadia. Clean it up now!!! RSPB
