Iconic Leucadia Torrey Pine getting removed!

From the inbox:

As I write this, the beautiful Torrey Pine at 925 Orpheus is being
trimmed in preparation for being cut down.

Please encourage people to call the City, ANYONE, at the City and
complain.

The project update in the October Hoodlink had some information about what has been happening the past few weeks with the tree and the Fire Department.

  2. Not a city tree. Not on public property. Shalom.

  3. Correct, not a city tree, not a protected tree in the city of Encinitas, not on public property - just a beautiful, huge, healthy old Torrey Pine. It's misfortune was to be on land currently owned by La Jolla Developers who feel their land will bring a higher sale price without the tree. Shalom
