Found this in todays wall street journal. Now you can't complain.
Cadillac desert- Great book and video. The Bottom line: There are too many people living in the Southwest and the Colorado river cannot sustain us. Even Barry Goldwater has quotes in the movie essentially saying that he wishes the west was not overdeveloped the way it is.
I have no idea why Jerome Stocks cannot read the book and understand why he and other developer lappy dogs are killing it for the rest of us every time they approve more houses and water meters. Jerome hurts us in Encinitas daily.
David Myers and Jerome Stocks have balls for even allowing this to become an issue. This guy should sue the crap out of Barratt for nondisclosure or have them pay him for any costs and inconvenience.

In a fairly unusual matter to go before the City Council, George Shafer, who purchased a model home in Barratt American's Nantucket I subdivision in Encinitas, is scheduled to ask the council to switch a restriction on his property to another lot in the same development.
Poster befor is right. She used to be an actress back about 30 years ago and did that scene. Check her out the next time you see her at a Council meeting. Then picture her about 30 years ago. It's her all right.
Check out her website if you don't believe me. It is www.petberavement.com. Then notice the similarities. As I said that was 30 some years ago when that film was made.
We should fallow more farm land so we have to import more food from across the border.

ReplyDeleteCome on Dr. L is that you or not? Inquiring minds want to know.
ReplyDeleteI refuse to comment on the grounds that it may incriminate me. If you think it is true then it is. Isn't that how the Interent works?
