934 N Coast Hwy 101, Leucadia. Before & After

The old infamous blighted mystery building with fenced off weed lot.

The new Solterra Winery is owned and operated by a local Leucadia surfer, Chris Van Alyea. Design by local architect Brian Church.

  2. Hopefully it can remain across the street. Awesome building. A million times better than the barbed wire cylone fence protecting a broken asphalt lot with weeds and trash, not to mention the mmysterious business with black out windows that was a dead zone for commerce on the hwy. great food, vunderbar wine. Try a bottle of "Beacon's" made from local grapes. Congrats Chris!

  4. That place is a f'ing ripoff. I got 2 glasses of wine, and some little finger food snacks (probably just defrosted from Trader Joes) for $71!!!

    $71?!?!?!?

    WTF?

  5. I thought it was a small buffet of food for $20 and included a glass of wine? Also thought wine was $7 a glass. What did you get, 1964 de'Rothchildes?

  6. I like the old pic better. Why does it have to be one extreme or the other? Leucadia is funky not pretentious.

What part do you love most? The decrepit building or the chained up lot filled with litter and weeds.
