  1. secret godzilla effigy man, it's secret denver castaway. shhhh. do not alert the authorities. I am in Australia. The great koala authority threatens to ruin us all. We must link the fists to activate the powers. More instructions to come. For now, secure your wife and ..cats. Especially the flippy cat. This cat is vital to the survival of the "plan." Also, I have started a website - pronounced "WEH BUH SITE" at http://www.thetopic.net to inform people about the intentions of the koalas, and other things of vital importance. I will fight the tanks when they come. For now, please register your secret identity on www.thetopic.net (This is a ciphered code for a location on the "intorweb".) I do not know what it means.

I hope you are well. Use the green cell if there are any newly elected city officials which require termination services.

    -Denver Castaway.

    P.S. - There's a ARRRRRRRRRRRRGHH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA KOALAS.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  2. JP ... A classic post. You had me doubled over in laughter. Poor Kevin.

It reminded me of one of my favorite quotes ...

"There's no trick to being a humorist when you have the whole government working for you." - Will Rogers

Keep up the great work. We all enjoy it.

  3. Yes, JP, what Bruce said. This is hilarious. I did see that the part with Kevin was cut off before he started speaking on the tape that aired on Cox 19 the Thursday before last. I was glad to see Bruce speaking out, too, at last week's Council Meeting, along with many more excellent speakers.

What happened to the squirrel poisoning issue? Maggie had said it would be "looked into."

Kerry Miller took accountability for the Spin Dr. fiasco. But staff had looked into this at Council's direction. They backed down when they realized all the opposition. It would have just passed on the consent calendar, otherwise.

Just because SD has a "communications officer," doesn't mean Encinitas needs one.

  13. I just talked to Maggie Houlihan and she is going forward to address this squirrel poisoning issue. I sent her all the chemical info I have on this "safe" product. She told me she'd let me know when this will be on the City Council agenda. Of course, don't be surprised if some other person on the Council decides to make it a sub-committee event where the public isn't invited. That's their style, you know. Hell, what do we little people know, eh? We're just the idiots who elected them in the first place to serve our community.

In the meantime, write a letter to the paper! Write Maggie! Here's her Email:

    mhoulihan@ci.encinitas.ca.us

Also, if anyone would like to see all the PCQ rodenticide data I got from my Internet search, I will be happy to mail it to you. Contact me at:

  14. Which one was Kevin? The funny looking one, or the Lizard?

  15. I thought the video was of the city killing the squirels...

    ReplyDelete
  16. Perhaps Hoolihan thinks that squirels had to die because she and her council cronies didn't get a tax increase with Prop C.

Her idea of saving the envirnoment is to increase taxes when it is not needed. You are kidding yourself if she or anyone on this city council would criticize the city manager or staff for anything they do much less for just poisoning the environment and a few little squirrels.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hey, So she is OK with killing a few squirrel's...

Hell she was responsible for the death of about 30,000 rodents on the rural property near her house!

She supports "catch and release" policies regarding feral cats, basically making them sterile "chum" for the coyote population.

Why would it shock anybody that the city would kill some inconvenient squirrel's on Maggie's watch?

  18. People are more concerned about introducing poison into the beach environment than they are about the squirrels. Too bad all the concerned yuppie parents worried about their kids macking poison pellets have been written off as tree hugging liberals. God left us this world to manage and care for. Good christians buy organic produce at the farmer's market because pesticides harm God's creation.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You can not grow enough organic produce to feed this country even if it is only the "good christians." If the GC's all decended on the farmers market on any given day the edible food would be gone in about an hour. Please remember it was the GC's who infected and decimated the peaceful indian tribes that inhabited and nurtured this area for thousands of years. If all the yuppie parents and GC's want to do away with PCQ bait, then get up off your fat asses and start to build barn owl boxes for the community, allow the few rattle-snakes remaining to survive,re-introduce the king snake, which will keep both the rattle-snake and rodents in check, quit feeding the squirrels that left over organic food, and work on integrated pest management. If you are just against poisoning any of the remaining wildlife please send me your address because I use Have-a-Heart traps extensively to trap rabbits in the nursery and now I have to drive them to 'Ohio' to release them and would certainly like a closer spot to re-locate them. Send your name and phone number to Gil Foerster, P.O. Box 333, Cardiff. I have to have more than one person and someone always near the phone because it kills me to see a rabbit or squirrel beat it's head against a cage for more than an hour, which is what they do when you catch them in Have-A-Heart traps. That's real life folks!!

  21. Los Angeles County Dep't of Agriculture /"Pest Information Series-Ground Squirrels"

Scroll down to pg 6... in RED LETTERS:

"...remember that many rat control products are not allowed to be used for squirrel control and to use them for squirrels is a violation of federal and state law and may result in death or injury of humans, pets or wildlife."

    ReplyDelete
  22. GO ORGANIC. It's good for the earth and your body.

    ReplyDelete
  23. PCQ is not a rat control product. PCQ is "For distribution and use only in California. PCQ is registered for use against Spemophilus beecheyi and S. belding.(Ground squirrels) If you want to do the public a service and not resort to scare tactics mfleener, provide the residents the online sight for instructions to build barn owl houses. It IS illegal to bait for cottontails in this stste. Why? Because some people eat them, tastes like chicken. I don't know of many people that eat squirrels in this state, not enough meat. Both of these creatures, if obtained from a safe area could certainly be called organic. What exactly does one mean when one says "go organic it's good for the earth and your body?" Do you mean vegetarien, if yes does that mean lacto-vegetarian, or just fruits, nuts, and veggies. If lacto are you eating cheese which requires rennet or rennin, produced from the lining of the fourth stomach of calves. Who's on first?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm not into "scare tactics", just the facts. According to Bell Labs, PCQ is an "anitcoagulant rodenticide". "Rodents" are non flying mammals such as hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, squirrels, mice and rats. My concern is POLLUTION. The label for PCQ clearly states it is NOT to be used near bodies of water, like that big lake out there we call "The Ocean".I just want to make sure this poison is not thrown on the bluffs at Beacons ever again.

I am not posting on this blog to take part in a pissing contest, Mr. Forester, so if you want to have the last word, be my guest. Thank you JP for offering this forum. Over and out.
