  2. Wow these flowers look so nice!!!! Too bad we can have flowering flowers in the center medians of H101 through Leucadia. Oh I guess flowers would be an affront to the scorched earth, moonscape policy that the city promotes for Leucadia. Soooorrrrryyyy!!!!!

  3. Well its Sunday afternoon and highway 101 sounds like a fricken drag strip. A ton of straightpipe motorcycles racing all up and down the street.....

All it would take is a sheriff righting tickets for one hour and the word would get out.

In one hour on any sunny sunday afternoon, the a sheriff could issue 200 tickets to the straightpipes racing around just in Leucadia.

  4. Thank you, J.P., for following the sad train death stories with spring flowers along the beach. What a perfect new beginning. May they all R.I.P.

  8. perhaps if we had our own police department we could get some attention to those quality of life crimes. The sheriff has six motorcycles in encinitas but they don't work at night or weekends.

Dump the Sheriff and hire our own policemen.

  9. Now that your blog has brought the flowers to the city's attention we should see crews tearing them out and poisoning the cliff by this afternoon.

  11. There is no way can we afford our own police. Just tell the Captain to schedule the cycles on the weekend.

  12. Many times I look at my crappy house, the sandbags on the street, the horn from the train, the illegals walking on the street, and think man, I need to leave this place for a planned community like Carmel Valley or Park Village.

THEN - I TAKE A STROLL DOWN BEACONS TO MOONLIGHT AND SAY - "DAMN, I'M NEVER MOVING"!!!

  14. Sorry we didn't get those damn flowers outta there yesterday, we'll be coming over with the DUI drunks and chopping them out today. The DUI drunks did a good job of rendering the railroad right-of-way plant free. Besides why should your well paid city staff bust our butts on something as trivial as Leucadia, when we have more important things to do ... like stand around the city water cooler and talk about the idiots on the council.
