Sometimes the Longboard Grotto has some of these, other times they pop up on ebay, but none have been reproduced. One old Encinitas card went for $115 ! but it was super rare. I have a few more I'll send JP when I find them.
Hey, Fred- cool your cousin has the elevator button from the old DM hotel- my family has the original diving board from the DM plunge! No bounce back then! Boing!
Yeah, there was an auction of stuff after it closed in the 60's. I ended up with a few receipts for Caldwells that stayed there. A lady down the street got the desk bell. But Wow, the diving board from the DM plunge! Too much.
Wonderful to see that post card of Noah's Arc. People I've told about it -- the vague memory I have left from my childhood -- think I must be imagining things.
These are nice postcards. Are they available for purchase any where in town??
ReplyDeleteThank you. What a nice reality check.
ReplyDeleteAlong with postcards, how about the poinsetta postcard on a t-shirt? The 101 north through Leucadia postcard from the 30's is cool too.

ReplyDeleteThat is really generous of you, Fred. I appreciate these so much.
