Why hasn't Gil Forrester posted on this blog for ages???
ReplyDeleteGill where are you??
Ralph Nader is alive and running in Encinitas. Why? What did we ever do to you Bob?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 12:03
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, Encinitas welcomed me with open arms, gave me a chance to thrive, and make a difference in my chosen community.
As for the Ralph Nader comparison?
THANK YOU!
Go Bob-
ReplyDeleteI will vote for your platform over Jerome Stocks platform any day.
Your platform makes sense.
Jerome's platform is:
1. Encourage developers to put up as many boxes as possible in our small town to maximize their profit. And....
2. give the unions every pay raise and benefit increase ever asked for so they will continue to support him.... And
3. build trophy fire stations for his biggest union supports the fire union....
4. Build a regional sports park for all of North County on the dime of 60,000 Encinitas residents only... while existing City problems are ignored…..And
5. As NCTD representative, continue to do nothing to solve Encinitas problems with NCTD. For 8 years he has done nothing to better our rail corridor and he will continue to do nothing.
Go Bob. We know you will do better than Mr. Stocks.
eco-tourism destination? What the heck is that?
ReplyDeleteSurfers on the beach and bird watchers at San Elijo estuary are just two examples of ecology based tourism.
ReplyDeleteVote out Stocks and Houlihan and replace Bond this November.
ReplyDeleteNeither surfers nor birdwatchers spend enough $$$ to support the costs of COE govt machine.
ReplyDeleteEcotourism is not self-supporting!!
bob would be an astronomical leap in intelligence from our current town council members specifically Houlihan And Stocks. listening to houlihan and stocks babble is like paying attention to children discussing quantum physics and their only dialogue is the word huh?
ReplyDeleteBob - I hope you can reign in the City staff because we all know they are the ones dictating policy and making all the decisions -- think you can stand up to Major Phil Cotton? The only councilmember who does is Teresa Barth, and she has been blackballed by staff and the three councilmember men. It is an ugly atmosphere at the City with Stocks and Dalager trying to keep their sandcastle kingdom from crumbling into the ocean.
ReplyDeleteso thats why Stocks is pushing the "sand tax"
ReplyDeleteIt's Col. Cotton and Teresa is liked by the employees. Get your info correct. As a watcher and friend of some staff members I'm sure my sources are more accurate.
ReplyDeleteSorry for my "major" faux pas, guess military titles carry some weight at City Hall. Barth may be "liked" by some employees, but staff (i.e., heads of departments) don't, unless you know different?
ReplyDeleteBob,
ReplyDeleteIf you really want to start your campaign with a blast DO SOMETHING TO GET RID OF THAT WHITE CADDY COUPE DE VILLE that is BLIGHTING LRSP!!! It's been abandoned in Leucadia and I am sick of it destroying the visual beauty of the park. GET IT MOVED and if you can't them we know how much power you'll have at city hall!!
RSPB
RSPB, I'll see what I can do.
ReplyDeleteRSPB, I just got off the phone with the sheriff Department. They are dispatching a unit to investigate the abandoned white caddy Coupe de Ville at Leucadia Roadside Park. According to the dispatch officer they will place a 72 hr must move notice before it can be towed.
ReplyDeleteBob,
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed by how the sheriff dept listens to you. We'll see if it is gone in 72 hours, I've started the clock.
Thanks,
RSPB
RSPB, The sheriff asked me how long the car has been parked there.
ReplyDeleteAny clue?
Close to a month in the same location and position, hasn't moved.
ReplyDeleteRSPB
Please don't move the Caddy!!!!!!Don't you realize that it is art. Cardiff has the fruit loop surfer Encinitas has the cool sign over the highway and the Caddy belongs to Leucemia oops,Quaidlua oops Looncadia oh well.
ReplyDeleteJust drove past the Coupe de Ville and noticed the 72 hour notice on the windshield.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Gary Murphy the owner of the car is an associate of the manager of the nearby Trailer park
Now you are towing guy's cars??? NIMBY NIMBY NIMBY NIMBY NIMBY NIMBY
ReplyDeleteI love chocolate milk- mike
ReplyDeletecity council encinitas
Hey NIMBY NAZI- WWWWWAAAAAAaaaaaaaa,Waaaaaaaaaaa,
ReplyDeleteWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA move your friggin' car!!!!!!!! It's making Leucadia blighted!!! MOVE IT!!!!!
I would also suggest the car is at a rather dangerous place in the already congested Leucadia Blvd/Highway 101 interchange.
ReplyDeleteNext he will be ordering the sheriff to throw us out of the council chambers
ReplyDeleteFree speech is sacrosanct in my book. And I know the difference between public participation in governance and car abandonment.
ReplyDeleteAnd no I am not Christi Guerin.
I don't know why anyone in their right mind would mistake Bob for me -- I shave!
ReplyDeleteThat car belongs to a 19 year old local kid. Why don't you guys just leave a note on it suggesting he park it on Jasper St instead of sicking the goon squad on him. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea J.P. let's ask the kid to abandon his car on Jasper St. instead. I'm sure the those residents would have no problem with a white caddy Coup de Ville encroaching on that narrow right of way.
ReplyDeleteOn my way to work this morning, I noticed the Coup de Ville has been moved.
ReplyDeleteScore another for the Leucadia Blog!
Hey Bob,
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't parked in the red. If you don't want cars parked there paint the curb red. It's not an abandoned car, he just doesn't drive it everyday. I thought you wanted people walking instead of driving.
Haaaaa Haaaaa Haaaa Haaaa!
ReplyDeleteGood one JP
Bob drives a car to work? He must love George Bush and Exxon.
ReplyDeleteHaaaa Haaaaa Haaaaa!
ReplyDeleteGood one.
this blog is getting funny!
J.P. - that car wasn't moved for over 30 days, it was abandoned until notice was brought to the blog.
ReplyDeleteScore one for less visual blight in Leucadia!!
RSPB
Untrue. I saw him driving that car last weekend. He just parks it in the same spot everytime.
ReplyDeletewhy doesn't the owner of the car park it at his residence?
ReplyDeletewould you guys be in such an uproar if it was a Prius instead of a Caddy Coupe De Ville? Smells like profiling to me... I'm calling the ACLU
ReplyDeletethe gloves don't fit. Call my lawyer.
ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't the owner of the car park it at his residence?
ReplyDeleteBecause he lives in the roadside park.
Well, then he is parking it at his residence.
