  1. The city will be selling park views to the highest bidder, trying to find ways to pay for the huge Pension DEBT. 7.5% projected rate of return, Ahhhh hhaaaa haaa ahhh haaa haaaaa....

  2. Upcoming at City Countil meetings related to trees:
On March 11th Parks and Rec will be presenting a 30-day report back to Council on the Orpheus Park Tree Removals
and on March 18th the Urban Forest Management Policy (prepared by the Environmental Commission) will be presented to Council for consideration
The more people there to show support the better. It should be available for review the week before on the City webpage.

  3. Along with the Union Tribune story on the proposed program, a link was provided to the draft administrative policy.

Read it and don't be surprised. It calls for the creation of another city department to take care of the program. More government financed with more taxpayers money.

  4. Couldn't the city plant those trees closer together?

  5. Another pull the wool over the eyes Planning Commission meeting tomorrow.
Agenda item #3, case number 08-015 DR/CDP is the only project on the regular agenda. The project property is located on San Elijo Road. The city planner is recommending approval of a Design Review permit and a Coastal Development Permit that would be connected to a previous tentative map approved in 2006 under a different case number. The tentative map approvals would have expired on July 5, 2008, so why is the planning department processing an application on an expired tentative parcel map?

  7. I want Fred's question answered.

Who gave the final order to cut down all the trees instead of trim the healthy trees?

Who made to the call to plant the bad specimen choice with the spacing and locations so poorly chosen?

Was is John "the chainsaw-woops!" Frenken? or was it Chris "I don't know whats going on" Hazeltine?

The City needs to trim its deadwood fast to save its healthy canopy.

  8. anon 1034,

Because the public is clueless and the city can get away with it with nobody noticing.

You think Dalager, Bond, or Stocks care? They don't. You think Maggie was ever capable of standing up to the men? Did she ever? Barth is just one person.
