Above is the cover from the FINAL report the city refused to release to the public, in June, in July, and in August 2010. NOTICE THAT THE REPORT IS DATED March 2010.
The city tried to keep the document from getting to the public before the election, because the document contridicted Dalager. They would have gotten away with it if weren't for those pesky kids.
Read the report here: http://encinitastaxpayers.org/blog/index.php/2010/09/16/city-report-says-17-million-in-deferred?blog=3
From the report: "The average PCI of the entire network is 73, which is in the “good” category."
ReplyDeleteWhat I think is hilarious is my street here in Leucadia has a PCI of 50, which is borderline poor/fair. It is smooth. Nobody has any problems with my street. If it would save the city $17 million, or whatever, then I wouldn't mind if the average PCI for Encinitas fell to 50 because 50 isn't so bad.
Maybe road surfacing technology will improve and it will cost less to resurface in the future?
Maybe SUVs and heavy cars will become obsolete with high oil prices?
Maybe HH will get smarter? I doubt it.
ReplyDeleteIf calling me stupid makes you feel better then go ahead. It seems reasonable to not spend money if the roads are good. Usually politicians spend money on unnecessary stuff. Here is an instance where the case can be made that spending money is not necessary and they actually didn't spend money. Amen. Amen. Amen.
ReplyDeleteWhat street is it HH?
ReplyDeleteReveal my street? Anna might be a psychopath. She hates me. Clearly, W.C. Varones wants to get me alone in the shower. I have enemies. I'm not giving up my location. If you somehow track ... keep in mind I'm armed, I'm old, I'm blind and I'm crazy. My real name is not Huntington Hartford (that's the name of my one-eyed pitbull).
ReplyDeleteThat being said, just look at whatever street and compare to the report's stated PCI. My street is ranked a 50, I'd say it's at least a 60 but not a 70. I'd say it could use a little tweak here & there but that it will be good for quite a while longer.
HH,
ReplyDeleteThat's fine, but stop using your street as an example. Pick another street and give us that street name.
I think if your claims are substantiated your examples will demonstrate that the city has made a huge mistake by not letting the public review the data before stamping it final. Do you disagree?
You do know how the streets are rated?
HH,
ReplyDeletePlease give us the name of your street so we all can take a look and give it a rating.
I just looked at Hygeia in the report. I drive on that street daily. I'd say it is fairly rated (scored between 60-90 depending on block). Leucadia was a 46 before they repaved it. I think that might be high. It had a bad pothole on it (gone now).
ReplyDeleteVulcan north of Leucadia seems fairly rated. Some of the other sections of vulcan seem like the report is too negative. Pick a street. We'll calibrate our pessimism/optimism.
HH,
ReplyDeleteHow are you rating the roads?
Same as them...
ReplyDelete- clarity
- smoothness
- integrity
- fruitfulness
- trustiworthiness
- loyal
- fearlessness
- bravery
- hoppiness
- chastity
- smell
I checked out HH's profile...I am not surprised that a "panty examiner" would include "smell" as something that would be used to rate a road.
ReplyDeleteC'mon you guys, can't the blog go back to using "Anon"? At least the anon posters were halfway serious, and could spell fairly well. HH is derailing every post.
Ewwww, gross Mary.
ReplyDeleteI will stop posting. I sense I am not popular. I'll go lay down on the railroad tracks now. At least they are smooth, no deferred maintenance there.
