  1. Dear World:

We, the United States of America, your top quality supplier of the ideals of liberty and democracy, would like to apologize for our 2001-2008 interruption in service. The technical fault that led to this eight-year service outage has been located, and the software responsible was replaced November 4. Early tests of the newly installed program indicate that we are now operating correctly, and we expect it to be fully functional on January 20. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the outage. We look forward to resuming full service and hope to improve in years to come. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Sincerely,

    THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

  2. PHsssss.

We can't even keep our own house in order. We definitely should not be trying to rule the world.

Start by fixing America and not borrowing from our children’s future. Once we get or house back in order, you can talk about liberty and democracy for others.

Until then it’s more poor decisions from incompetent politicians and the uneducated public who keep electing these windbags.

  3. Thank you, President Bush, for restoring honor and dignity to the White House and for keeping us safe.

  4. It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.

  5. "The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt.

People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." -- Cicero , 55 BC

Note the date 55 BC before the fall of Rome.

Need we add anything to the above statement for it’s relevance in 2009?
