I find it interesting that if you or I wanted to build "boat houses" today in any neighborhood, the same people in the photo would throw a shit fit and complain about variances and what not.
They'd bitch about height limitations and non-conforming this and that and they would flood the planning commission with reasons why it shouldn't be done.
Actually this gathering was quite representative of Encinitas diversity. The Boathouses sit on common ground, where we the people came together in the name of historic preservation.
Hey Bob have you heard anything about Encinitas changing the zoning along PCH??? I am reading this parts of a memorandum that limits all sorts of businesses on the coast highway. What is the deal??? Who put this out
