Secret Garden

Anderson's La Costa Nursery on La Costa Avenue is always fun to visit. It has lots of suprises around every corner and it has a secret garden tint. It is one of the great places to pick up a cool green gift in Leucadia.
The staff is super friendly.

The secret garden gift shop stuff is on sale and Christmas items are 40% off.

Cool pots.

  1. YEA! One of my favorite places.... great secret garden, herbs and veggies. I try to frequent it as often as possible. The staff is great and they have a nice variety of ceramics, plants and gifts.

  2. This is my favorite garden center, hands down. The staff, particularly Steven and Patrick, are very knowledgeable and helpful.

  3. Agree. What a great use of that huge lot behind the Royal Motor Inn thats been weeds since day one. Hope the neighbors feel the same. Sure compliments Leucadia better than the swap meet planned for that lot, or the 3 story Hotel I saw on blueprints a few years back. Ewwwww.

  4. Fred,

What are you talking about? The La Costa Anderson Nursery isn't anywhere near the Royal Motel.

  5. My bad Anna. I really should have read the first paragraph. In the words of Emily Latilla, "That's very different. Nevermind...."

  8. That came out wrong too! Just meant you don't have to worry about me making big decisions for you when I behave as though I'm under the influence of eggnog.

No worries Fred. Legalize all drugs and we are all accountable for our actions.

  10. Legalize all drugs together with alcohol and tobacco. Just raise the age of consent to 65. If you survive to that point, you'll be so cozy in your pension, you won't need artificial stimulant.

  11. Fred- No offense regarding the eggnog comment, I enjoy a bit too much myself at times. A cheap joke gone bad, my apologies.

I don't know if I can recover from that hurtful eggnog crack. I come from the 3rd generation of sober Puritans, and we are never hands for foolishness. It may lead me and my family to drink, dance or worse. I may not muster the courage to blog for a few days now.
