Paper Rose Moves to Leucadia Just in Time for V-Day

The Paper Rose has moved from the Lumberyard in Encinitas to the cool little mixed use row of houses converted into businesses on Vulcan Ave in Leucadia. I call that tiny business district "L101 Jr".

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day...

  3. Too bad you can't get to it by walking from L101. There is no safe walkway from Hwy101 to Vulcan. The existing path is a narrow scketchy hazard that I avoid at all costs.

Its much better to cross the Railroad tracks, but anyone with any disability like age or a sore toe is screwed. Why wont the City improve the only legal pedestrian crossing in Leucadia?

  4. HEADS UP SHOPPERS!
I spent $100 yesterday at Paper Rose for my Mom's birthday & they were soooo happy! Apparently their sales are so low they will have to close down in a couple of months if they don't improve. SO SAD!!! LOVE this place! The owner told me they have had crowds of people looking & loving it but nobody buys anything. Can't believe it! They have such cool stuff & all these new cute things.
COME ON LEUCADIA, SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS! EVERYONE WHO LOVES THIS PLACE, OPEN YOUR PURSE! THEY DESERVE IT. I FOR ONE DON'T WANT TO LOSE THIS AMAZING STORE. ANYONE AGREE?????

  5. yea that wouldn't surprise me. I'm a regular shopper and fan of Paper Rose. I was in there the other day and 2 old b*&^%$s came in with coupons for a free gift that they handed over and didn't even buy anything, Talk about rude, cheap & mean! $100 is a lot of money though and that comment makes it seems as though the old Rose is a high end establishment. This is not the case. They have items ranging in price from $2 to $200 and most are under $100 not to mention they have really nice merchandise. I'm with you though, loosen your tight wallets Leucadia & lets keep this old favourite alive & well.By the way, the cupcakes are delicious!
