The BIG Lunch July 19

www.thebiglunch.com
All Leucadians are invited out to an day called the Big Lunch on July 19th. The Big Lunch is a concept brought forward by the Eden Project in England. The goal is to get to know your neighbors and experience the concept of being a “localvore.” The best place to fulfill these ideal is at our Farmers Market on Sunday. If anyone has any question they can email me a

  1. There is a Farmer's market at Paul Ecke Central and Flora Vista. Both Farmer's Market give a stipend to the host schools.Just think if you were really forward thinking we could have one at Pacific View. Oh, thats right you want to socialize-but not save the only chance to enhance the community-do the right thing-pressure the School Board before they trade it and have 75 homes sucking up the ocean view.

  2. I don't get it. If free food offered? What do you do at the big lunch? Eat like Big Americans? Can I bring my bong, cheesewiz and crackers?

  5. I like our farmers market. Seeing our fellow marketeers enjoying the farmers wares and crafts, socializing, eating, listening to music with kids being able to play on the grass and play equiiptment is a good thing.
I believe that the Paul Ecke PTA gets much more than a 'stipends', though. I believe the support for this nice community event has helped the kids a lot over the years.
I don't know about the easterly market split.
Ron LaChance, the market manager has done a great job and he is a very nice man.
Thanks Ron, PE PTA and L101 for making this happen.
    Support our local market.

  7. Yes Cardiff rats can come, but no Busby supporters as we couldn't handle a cop bust.

  9. Can we bitch about the lack of trees along the rail line? Can we talk about the need to pursue at grade crossing in mulitple locations? I hope so both need to be accomplished.

  13. Olde-

Maybe JP has other things that are keeping him from spending the required hours for those A level posts. I personally appreciate Kevin C for helping JP out. To see how much work it takes, send JP one of your none vanilla posts.

I appreciate both JP and Kevin's efforts for keeping this blog going. Not every post can be off the charts funny. Thanks guys. Its sure beat the propaganda posted by the Associated Press about how great the economy is doing and we are over the recession.

  14. It's not J.P. or Kevin's fault. It is ours. We could make this blog interesting if we post what we think, feel and know.
