The religilous RickGreene.org blog has a post on Encinitas that includes a quick history lesson and notes the many churches found in our town. However, Rick is very alarmed. He is worried about New Age cultist among other things and describes the famous Self Realization Fellowship as "demonic".
From the blog,
There are churches that love Jesus in this area, and we simply desire to partner with them in the work that God is doing here. However, there are still many people to be reached and a lot of work to do! This city is in demonic bondage and is much like Mars Hill (Acts 17) in that there are many false religions and cults. The New Age movement has a massive influence in the city.
and,
Encinitas is full of false spirituality, religions, and cults: Chapel of Awareness, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Dieguito, Seaside Center for Spiritual Living, Christian Science, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and many others!
I believe that we are entering into intense spiritual warfare,
Rick Grean. What a self rightous joke.
ReplyDelete"My religeon is better than your religeon, because I am smarter than you. Therefore, I am right and you are wrong and your religeon must be a cult.
He sounds like one of the many Muslim extremists that become terrorist. All in the name of their superior region. Haaaa- Humans are patheticly stupid.
I wonder why more religeons do not try and accept saints from all religions and is based on acceptance and inclusion and not exclusion.
Humans are egomaniacs like Rick. Humans create these religions for power grabs and to control their populous ultimately leading to massive wars.
Humans will never learn. I love it!!! Continue the show, although its getting pretty old.
We may be entering into "spiritual warfare" because the Rick Green's of the world won't accept any path but their own. Zeus is so right on.
ReplyDeleteThere are many paths up the mountain Rick, lets all get to the top, God has many faces, not just your understanding to the exclusion of all others.
Wow...who is this Rick Green? Scary guy.
ReplyDeleteIn Demonic Bondage...I thought the post was about Jim Bond and the other boys on council.
ReplyDeleteHa Ha
No, that's James' Bondage
ReplyDeleteJP
ReplyDeleteCAN YOU PLEASE PROVIDE UPDATE TO THE "BIGGEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN TO ENCINITAS" ?????
I'm sure if you gave a mighty donation to Mr. greene and his organization he will tell you that you are saving Encinitas from Demonic Bondage.
ReplyDeleteWhy does all religion involve $$$ and the more you give the better your life or afterlife? At least the Scientologists are up front about it!
8:01 is lucky he won't incur wrath for not being able to spell.
ReplyDeleteThank you for having the courage to share your beliefs.
ReplyDeleteI too, believe that Jesus will cast all those that do not believe in him, the way you do, no matter how good and kind they are or how much they help their fellow man or lead lives with love and empathy to their fellow man to eternal damnation.
It is the fault of all those who have been born in a caring loving family of a different belief, and they should be punished by god because of where they were born or what they believe if it is not what you believe.
Thank you for alerting us to these heathens living amungst us. We should all do our part to castigate all those who do not believe what they should.
Jesus is Coming!
ReplyDelete(look busy)
The most "demonic" of all the religions named are the Mormons. Full of false prophets and a guy named Joe (Joseph Smith) who saw "revelation in "seer stones" while looking into a hat! HUH?
ReplyDeleteThey also believe that Lucifer and Jesus were brothers...what??? If you are righteous, attend temple and tithe you cannot only see God, but become a god on your own planet aka Kolob...Now you tell me, is this not demonic?
I agree . The Mormons are the worst, portraying to be christians while believing things that are not anything like what christianity believes. For any Mormon who challenges this, please Google the following: difference between christianity and Mormonism. Please try not to respond until you do this. Most Mormons DO NOT know what their own religion believes!!You could lead them to the truth but you can't make them thinkl!!!
ReplyDeleteMormon's the worst? That would explain why Kerry Miller and Lou Aspel dumped Encinitas for greener pastures. Or actually, more built up pastures.
ReplyDeleteUsing a Concordant Version of the scriptures (the best word for word equivalent from the three oldest known manuscripts) there is no eternal damnation. There was no word "eternal" in English before the Renaissance and they had to use two words in ancient Greek when they wanted to denote it, like: "without end". Prior to then, we find headstones that read in Greek "Here lies Katharine in eternal sleep until her ressurection." Well, it can't be eternal if she's roused can it? The word actually means "eonian" or long lasting. and "eterenal damnation" is literally "eonian chastenment" for the wicked. Why? because God doesn't waste as much as we do. And he certainly didn't bring everyone into being knowing from the beginning that 90% of them will be tormented endlessly in a burning hell.
ReplyDeleteBut that's the frightening message most "Christian" churches preach when it gets right down to it. 1 Tim 4:10 however says that all mankind will be saved. So there. Again in Corinthians it says "Even as all die in Adam, all shall be made alive in Christ - but each in his own order". Yep, that means everyone who dies in Adam - or everyone. But that sure takes the wind out of a lot of self righteous people's sails.
So many people move to Encinitas and want to change it. What they never realize until it is too late is that the area changes them.
ReplyDeleteI give him 8 months until he is at Moonlight trying to buy a Bonzer from JP, and complaining about tourists.
Thank, Reverend
ReplyDeleteJesus approved of term limits.
ReplyDeletei always think the scariest part is the people that agree... (see 4:47, 6:36, 6:40)
ReplyDeletewho's more foolish... the fool?
or the fool that follows him?
this IS NOT a christian nation. this is a nation based on religious freedom.
get it thought your pulpit!
besides that... i have yet to be in a church, synagogue, temple, mosque or what have you that is anywhere near as beautiful as the the Self Realization center.
rick is aware that it has been there since 1937?
i think you're too late ricky!
Ricky the Demonic Sicky!
ReplyDeleteSpread the word and let fire and brimstone burn a hole in his Costco surfboard.
Any religious person who says "Mormons are the worst" are exactly as those they accuse. Yes, looking into a hat for salvation is specious. So is your story!
ReplyDeleteClearly, bigotry has no blindness.
Suckers.
this guy needs to get a grip on something other than a egotistical head trip. demonic beings and thoughts are bad but what else can you give us, Dad? Jesus may be your savior but ours in simply another flavor. Cast not about for burdened souls lest yours alone is sterling gold. And should this make any sense, then hallejuiah I just may preach on television.
ReplyDeleteThe only demons on the radar are Stocks and Dalager. Bond is a demi-demon. Houlihan is a semi-sorta-kinda-almost demonne.
ReplyDelete6:36 and 6:40 must be the same person. Look at how many exclamation marks AND question marks they need to make a point!!!! (Hey, that feels good!)
ReplyDeleteOr if it's not the same person, they have the same pastor.
Rev. Ike,thanks for the analysis albeit inaccurate. I am 6:36; I was a mormon until I found my way out of the CULT, not through a pastor but through my own research from primary sources as well as from mormons themselves who could not answer any questions and inconsistencies regarding mormonism. It took me many years to accomplish this task.
ReplyDeleteWhere I was looking to increase my faith in mormonism and solidify that in mormon words " this church is true" I found just the opposite.
You must believe that I am a rarity. Mormons are leaving in droves due to better access to information. I don't understand the "suckers" comment you made, but I will take it to believe that you are referring to the people still stuck in the mormon cult.
Rev Ike..sorry for tagging you with the "suckers" reference. That one belonged to 10:54.
ReplyDeleteMan's belief in God takes many forms. Not everyone is in the right place for your belief system. We all have to find what's right for us based on who we are at this minute. That requires a lot of choices.
ReplyDeleteRick, how about you leave my choice to me, you already made yours.
7:20 You're forgiven.
ReplyDeleteIf Mormons or anybody else love their neighbor and love God, they're covered. Simple. Loving your neighbor does not include plotting evil against anyone, bombing them to smithereens or endorsing those that do. And loving God does not include idols (or a false idea of God). What determines who has a false idea of God? Must be the ones who hate their neighbors. So go do something nice for the jerk who lives next door today and watch your life and planet change.
ReplyDeleteHoly Moly!
ReplyDeletePastor Rick seems as confused about local history as he does about local religion. He has the Spanish arriving a hundred years early in Alta California and traveling along El Camino Real that didn't exist until Father Serra began to established the missions in 1769.
And he needs to check his Spanish dictionary as cañada doesn't mean "hill," but "canyon" or "gully," just the opposite.
He forgets to mention the transfer of land from Mexico to the USA in the Mexican-American War. He has the first gringo settlers being given land grants by the Mexican government and being willing to live under Mexican rule.
Jiminy crickets!
first of all to Zeus and all the other hypocrites that claim that we should be more inclusive while attacking another's world view. Good job on passing the opportunity to be accepting and loving as you claim. Just as you are allowed your freedom of speech so is he. And to Rev. Ike we can all take the Bible out of context. Christ is not the Savior of all in relation to the kingdom and freedom of sin but rather Salvation from a world that has no reflection of morality. But if you are to be consistant with the idea that all world views are right than you must admit that I am right as well.
ReplyDeleteAwww how cute Zeus the exclusivist wants to attack other people's world views because they don't fit in his narrow minded box.
ReplyDeleteTruth is truth no matter how offensive it may seem. Why do we get mad at people for telling the truth? Sure, we are all entitled to our own opinions, but ultimately, there can only be ONE truth....that is just the way reality works. Muslims and Christians believe in things that are mutually exclusive...both religions cannot be true. So, the question is, how do you know what you are believing is TRUTH? Rick is standing up for truth.
ReplyDeleteAnd honestly, all of you who are preaching inclusion, acceptance and feel good warm fuzzies, you sure are being hypocritcal for not accepting Rick. Oh the sad irony.
Anon 1:11
ReplyDelete"And honestly, all of you who are preaching inclusion, acceptance and feel good warm fuzzies, you sure are being hypocritcal for not accepting Rick. Oh the sad irony."
In my earlier post (Anon 7:56) I fully recognized that Rick had made his choice, and that he was welcome to do so. I only wanted him to leave me the same opportunity by not bashing / eliminating my choices. That is not hypocritical.
i think IQs dropped in leucadia between 12:38 and 1:11
ReplyDeletesee... the thing that's wrong with tricky ricky that you are failing to understand is that he's damning me to a hell i don't believe in.
you say that i'm entitled to my opinion but in the same sentence you say i'm wrong. which is it?
i believe the attacks and narrow mindedness was perpetrated by rick.
C'mon, Encinitas' demonic history and occult status is one of the best kept secrets in town.
ReplyDeleteIn how many other cities do local citizens gather in a circle, chant, and beat drums to the light of a fire during the full moon?
And how about the Shanty's famous skull photos? Who do/did those bones belong to anyway? Eerie, if you ask me.
And how else did our City Council get re-elected last November--clearly a case of Black Magic if ever there was one.
Just accept it and move on.
Every place has its Dark Side.
Welcome to Encinitas Rick... Please leave and take your wacky blog with you.
ReplyDelete"Christ is not the Savior of all"
ReplyDelete10:38 Then you disagree with the scripture 1 Tim 4:10 -
"For therefore we labor and suffer reproach because we rely on the living God who is the savior of all mankind - especially of believers." (Believers of course get saved first)
He's decided to be the savior of all (even you), and that's pretty final.
I look forward to poking all of you with my fiery shaft, especially this Rick guy.
ReplyDeleteRick Green- You will learn in Hell that you were very very wrong. Your beliefs are a complete farce. You and similar followers will burn in hell for being so ignorant and not opening your mind to the one true lord. I pity you fool.
ReplyDeletehe's awfully self righteous for someone that moved into our community 2 months ago by default (apparently he wanted to move to escondido first) and who's "church" is currently a rundown apartment.
ReplyDeletePeople don't get "sent" to Hell - they chose to go there. If you don't want to spend any time with God during your lifetime, why would you want to be with Him for eternity?
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteYou know what Rick? I'd rather burn in hell than be stuck in heaven with people like you.
Rev Ike, here's a better explanation of what I mean regarding 1 Tim 4:10
ReplyDelete(3) The Reformed Interpretation - God is the Savior of all men (in one sense) and especially of those who believe (in another sense).
As we study the terms "salvation" and "Savior" we find many nuances - many different ways - God saves. The most important aspect of salvation is to be "saved" from the wrath of God (Romans 5:6-9; 1 Thess. 1:10), but salvation also includes the idea of rescue from enemy attack (Psalm 18:3); preservation (Matt. 8:25); physical healing (Matt. 9:22; James 5:15), etc. God "saved" not only Paul's life but everyone else on board ship with him in Acts 27:22, 31, 44. There are numerous ways that "salvation" takes place, but that's a complete Bible study all in itself.
When we study the word Savior (Greek: soter) in the LXX version (Greek translation of the Old Testament), we see the word used in a way that is far less grandiose than that which we generally think of the word. One example is Judge Othniel, who is called a Soter (Savior) or deliverer because he delivered the children of Israel from the hands of the king of Mesopotamia (Jud. 3:9). 2 Kings 13:5 talks of God giving Israel a "Savior" so that they were delivered from the hands of the Syrians. The judges of Israel were "saviors" as Nehemiah 9:27 states, "in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them saviors who saved them from the hand of their enemies." (see also Psalm 36:6)
A great deal more could be said to substantiate this idea of a savior, but I think the above would make the point. God provides food (Psalm 104:27, 28), sunlight and rainfall (Matt. 5:45), as well as life and breath and all things (Acts 17:25), for "in Him we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28). God preserves, delivers and supplies the needs of all who live in this world, and it is in this sense that He extends grace to them, saving them from destruction every day they live.
God is also gracious in allowing many to hear the proclamation of the Gospel.
All of these mercies are refered to as "common grace." It is common only in the sense that every living person gets it. This grace should actually amaze us because God is under no obligation whatsoever to give it to anyone. It can never be demanded. God sustains the lives of His sworn enemies, often for many decades! However, as wonderful as it is, it is only a temporal grace because all unregenerate people eventually die and will face the judgment (Heb. 9:27).
I believe then that 1 Timothy 4:10 teaches that we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior (Soter - preserver, sustainer, deliverer) of all people (showing mercy to all, each and every day they live), especially of those who believe (who receive full salvation from His wrath and everlasting life).
CHH
First of all 3:10 you are one weird dude!
ReplyDeleteSecond 2:50 I highly doubt that Rick is going to come and "make you" stop practicing/believing your particular world view and just as he has the right to say that you are wrong you have the right to say that he is wrong.
However I simply ask whether or not your world view gives you the option of telling another they are wrong, being that it (from what I understand) is of the inclusive nature?
Finally, 2:51
"see... the thing that's wrong with tricky ricky that you are failing to understand is that he's damning me to a hell i don't believe in."
would you rather he condemn you to a heaven that you care not to go to? Besides he never said, "2:51 you are going to hell", did he? In the Christian world view, if you care to be, you can be included.
"you say that i'm entitled to my opinion but in the same sentence you say i'm wrong. which is it?"
why is it one or the other? You are entitled to hold any opinion that you care to, even if it is wrong.
"i believe the attacks and narrow mindedness was perpetrated by rick."
Rick didn't come condemning you, he simply pointed out the fact that people are condemned already because they don't believe in Christ, (of which the Bible speaks clearly John 3:16-18) Rick loves Encinitas and only desires that Encinitas can come to love Jesus.
CHH
"Rick loves Encinitas and only desires that Encinitas can come to love Jesus."
ReplyDeleteHow righteous that Rick thinks Encinitas doesn't already love Christ.
In fact real Christians don't need some wacked out cult like Calvary preaching that everyone other than his beliefs are wrong. When someone says that, it show complete ignorance and a shallow soul.
You get what you reap loser, and you will reap what you deserve for calling Encinitas a place in demonic bondage. I pray for your shallow soul and all like you.
True Christians live life in a Christ like manner. Jesus was not and is not about condemning other, he was about love and forgiveness.
Rick you are clearly on the wrong path and are not a true Christian.
I hope you find your way to Peaceful soul one day, you obviously have a ways to go.
A true Christian.
"How righteous that Rick thinks Encinitas doesn't already love Christ."
ReplyDeleteWow so everyone in Encinitas loves Jesus, well if that's the case I guess you're right there isn't a need for another church. But wait didn't Zeus say that he's from a different religion? Well I guess another church is needed so Rick can love Zeus.
"In fact real Christians don't need some wacked out cult like Calvary preaching that everyone other than his beliefs are wrong. When someone says that, it show complete ignorance and a shallow soul."
For the record, Rick and I disagree on quit a few things thou he doesn't write me off as someone who doesn't believe in Christ. Why do you call it a cult?
"You get what you reap loser, and you will reap what you deserve for calling Encinitas a place in demonic bondage. I pray for your shallow soul and all like you."
Yeah dude spread the love!
"True Christians live life in a Christ like manner. Jesus was not and is not about condemning other, he was about love and forgiveness."
Have you ever read the Bible? (John 3:18, Matt 25:31-46, Matt 12:30-32, Revelations, etc.) Yes Jesus loves and forgives but he also condemns.
"Rick you are clearly on the wrong path and are not a true Christian."
Ok so how would you define a true Christian? Though I find it puzzling that a man is being condemned for being too exclusive by people who claim condemning others is wrong.
"I hope you find your way to Peaceful soul one day, you obviously have a ways to go."
You people do realize that Rick isn't posting in this discussion right?
CHH
Many are wondering in this thread -- who let the dogs out? So if you don't love animals, humans or God, don't read this. With that said, a question arises - "Will God save all or only some?"
ReplyDeleteBlogger 9:20
How far you go to water down one of the strongest, all-encompassing compassionate scriptures there is. But you admitted that when you said your view of this scripture is "far less grandiose" than it appears to be.
1 Tim 4:10 doesn't say "God is the savior FOR all mankind" (as though that's some option and someone can thwart His will or intention), but "the savior OF all mankind". Small words, but immense differences and the word "OF" is in all three of the oldest texts we rely on.
:11 "These things be charging and teaching".
Heb 2:8 "For in the subjection of (the) ALL to him, He leaves nothing unsubject to him. Yet now we are not as yet seeing (the) ALL subject to him."
1 Corn 15:21 "For since, in fact, through a man came death, through a Man also, comes the resurrection of the dead. For even as in Adam, all are dying, thus also in Christ shall all be vivified. Yet each in his own class." (Like it or not, the same all that die in Adam is the same all that are made alive in Christ.)
Why would He do that? :28 -"...that God may be All in all."
Not All in a few (as you contend), or All in most, but All in all.
And that's what happens when the last enemy (death) is destroyed, many moons from now.
1 Corn 15:26
"The last enemy being abolished: death. He subjects all under his feet."
You claim God meant something less than (soter) "savior" in 1 Tim 4:10 like the word "preserver". If that were so, the greek word "suntereo" (to preserve) would be here. It isn't.
2 Corn 5:14 "One died for the sake of ALL."
Romans 5:18,19 "Consequently, then as it was through one offense for ALL mankind for condemnation, thus also it was through one just award for ALL mankind for life's justifying. For even as, through the disobedience of the one man, the many were constituted sinners, thus also through the obidience of the One, the many shall be constituted just".
The first time "the many" is used it of course in this passage refers to ALL who die through Adam. But you would have people believe that the second time "the many" is mentioned in the same breath, it's a different quantity of people from the first, or "some of the many". That's not so.
I think we agree, that if God wills something to be, nothing can stand in the way of it.
1 Tim 2:3,4 "..for this is ideal and welcome in the sight of our Savior, God, Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth. For there is one God, and on Mediator of God and mankind, a Man, Christ Jesus, Who is giving Himself a correspondent Ransom for all, the testimony in it's own eras".
Gal. 6:10 "Consequently, then, as we have occasion, we are working for the good of all, yet specially for the family of faith." Yep, "every knee shall bow" as you have undoubtedly sang.
I believe that Rick and his kind are in it for the $$$$$.
ReplyDeleteDo we really need another "church"? No!
Please google map his address and see that his "church" is on the corner of Regal and Requeza. For God's sake (excuse the pun) it's an apt complex. If you are righteous enough to give to his "church", I am sure he will be able to move out of that hellhole.
There are many who feel quoting the Bible, as in posts above, like it was some infallible book of ultimate truth never to be questioned, is questionable.
ReplyDeleteMany feel that the Bible was just an interesting quasi historical commentary edited by the early followers of Christ.
To begin using the Bible as proof of anything is unsubstantial, and I know others are waiting to pounce on me for simply stating this. I forgive you.
The scriptures have been through many hands and translated many ways. However, the three oldest manuscripts are; the Alexandrian, Vaticanus, and the Sianaiticus. Until 1860 only the first two were available for comparison, and although parts are missing between the two, the comparable letters that are present in the two writings are identicle, letter for letter. Because they are the oldest known manuscripts and in harmony with each other, they are relied upon as the most accurate accounts of the word of God - albeit in ancient Greek. In 1860 another manuscript was found at the base of Mt. Sianai. It became the third oldest manuscript found and echoed the other two verbatim. But all three of them are believed to have been copied from older ones in the 4th century. When the Dead Sea scrolls were found, they too matched. Many versions of course have been written since then. Unfortunately (in my opinion) the King James version is the most widely used today. Basically, 47 men got together in 1611, came forward with their poetical versions of passages and the KJV bible was put together by a committee. (sound familiar?) As a result, one Greek word can have 30 English variants and the core meanings have been lost in many instances. A. E. Knoch knew this problem well, so when anyone had a debate about a subject, they'd go to a Concordance, look up every occurance of a particular word in the Greek, and thereby determine the real meaning of a passage in question. Knoch thought "Why doesn't someone save a lot of time and make a Concordant Version?" So he did around 1925. As far as idiom will allow, the Concordant Version has one English equivalent for each Greek word.
ReplyDeleteA lot of discoveries happened in the clearer version. Universal reconciliation (the salvation of all) undoubtedly being the most important.
One of the biggest problems with the KJV was the transliteration of the word "forever" and it's forms. That's how eternal damnation slipped into doctrine. For example, when Chirst said "for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever and ever, Amen." In Greek the first forever is singular and the second one plural. Literally, it means "for the eon of the eons" which points to a special designated period of time in which a new system occurs - after other eons conclude. Besides, if "forever" is an adequate term for all future time, why would "and ever" have to be added to it? It wouldn't.
Using a Concordant Version it is discovered there are at least 5 eons mentioned. Two are past, one is present, two are impending. Scriptures refer to "Before the eons" as well as "the conclusion of the eons". The eons were set in motion for God to achieve his ultimate goal. To become All in his creation. Kind of like what Einstein said though he may not have realized it. He said "matter is light slowed down". If God is light, maybe that has something to do with why we're here, by slowing Himself down. (OK, that's preachy) What happens at the conclusion of the eons? Death is abolished. Or so it says. Whether it's God's word or not time will tell. In as much as human opinion or interpretation hasn't crept into it's pages, I think it is. But people are inherently scary liars a lot, so it is always a concern that they have been the guardians of the word for millenia. I belive "all scripture is inspired by God" but, I've seen it corrupted by men, so for me, I proceed cautiously.
4:41, you're wrong about me. It is a book worth questioning.
So unless anyone else challenges me further, I'd just as soon JP go on to the latest chapter of the Cardiff Kook. Thank you.
Rev Ike before I go further in discussion, I'd like to know a little more of where your coming from. Do you believe that all 66 books are part of the cannon and therefore inspired and inerrant? And do you believe that the God of the Old Testament differs from the God of the New Testament or do you believe that we are seeing the work of one God through the whole biblical narative?
ReplyDelete4:41
ReplyDeleteI don't think you're opening a discussion cause there is no argument to discuss, thanks for coming though.

I also posted the previous post.
Quoting the bible is like quoting the local rag. Which version and by whom was it published?
ReplyDeleteMass publishing books including the Bible is only a few hundred years old. 1440 in fact when the printing press was invented. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printing_press
Jesus lived 2000 years ago. that means 1400 years of free edits.
There is plenty.... I say PLENTY of room for own own edits.
All these so called facts quoting scripture make me laugh. How many thousands of times has " your" bible been translated.
Humans are soooooo funny. Keep up the good work at trying to find why you really exist.
One hint. Could it be for my entertainment?
Rick. You and others will find out soon enough. Human life is just a speck on the radar. Peace be with you if I allow it!
Like I said before I'm not Rick, but a friend and for the record I don't even live in California. But regarding your last post, how can you begin to use a text that you don't even believe to tell the truth as a source to defend your own view?
ReplyDeleteSilly Anon. You missed the point of my post. Now don't piss me off, or you will pay for it dearly human.
ReplyDeleteGo back to quoting your favorite version of the bible if it pleases you and quiet down, before you make me intervene in your life.
8:48
ReplyDeleteTo answer your questions and know where I'm at...I believe God is inerrant as are his visible and invisible laws. But when you put man in charge of keeping his garden fresh, forget it. And that's similar to what we have with his word. There are errors in the KJV that turn God from a loving Father into an unforgiving monster who brought most of mankind into existance knowing from the beginning that most of them he'd have to torture for eternity. Not light stuff, but the foundation of Christendom's doctrine I'm afraid.
The word you meant is canon not cannon. But even so, it's another word not found in the scriptures. Jn 21:25 "Now there are many other things also, which Jesus does, which, if they should be written, one by one, I am surmising not even the world itself would contain the written scrolls." (funny, thousands of years later even this blog is a scroll). But if other ancient books were found that were in harmony with the earliest manuscripts, I'd certainly review them. King James might have been a nice guy, but he himself inspired? No. I have to wonder about the qualifications of people who decided which books should be in it and which books should not. Certainly the OT ones Jesus quoted take precedence. As spirit is the spring of all life, the scriptures have divine vitality, and are the source of life, in contrast to human writings which neither have nor give life. II Tim: 3:16 "All scripture is inspired by God and is beneficial for teaching, for exposure, for correction, for dicipline in righteousness, that the man of God may be equipped, fitted out for every good act." But when His words are twisted it is no longer scripture, is it?
Finally, of course it's the same God throughout all the eons. Not a pantheist here if that's what your driving at. Why would you think I thought that? He doesn't change. He has one goal and will achieve it. His administrations and dispensations do change however. If it appears I think that there is a different God in the New Testament because I have only quoted the New, that's not so. The New Testament is more in touch with God's ultimate purpose and "secrets hushed in times eonian" Especially In Paul's writings.
And for 4:41 who said:
"To begin using the Bible as proof of anything is unsubstantial"
If the bible proves one thing it's how accurate it is at showing how woefully inept we are at governing ourselves, taking care of our planet and it's inhabitants. We've had anywhere from 6000 years to 6 billion years to make it work (if you're stuck on one of those numbers) and we're no better off loving our neighbor than we were in the beginning. A sad lot until the Prince of Peace returns.
Aww is Zeus angry! Now don't make me get your grandma Gia to spank you. By the way she's angry with you liberals for using her land as a strategy to get more campaign money.

I am amused at Mr. Grean's use of the word "bondage". Is he a "top" or a "bottom" ?
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why people worship god, he seems like an asshole to me.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you call God a him.
ReplyDeleteGod seems like energy to me.
I love energy. I love God. I feel God and Energy are in everything. Either positive or negative. Its how you are receiving it. Are you interpreting more positive things in life or more negative things in life. Its all in the way you look at things, and also how lucky you were when who you were born.
I think 8:10 is referring to Rick the Worshipper. "God has a sick sense of humor" is a line in a rock song. Which one?
ReplyDeleteRick has a sick sense of everything.
