YAY, HAPPY FUN!
OOOoooooh, purty.
I think my favorite part is getting to wander around the middle of the 101 after the parade ends.
By the way, the E is out in the sign...
BURNING QUESTION: Could the Leucadia Hwy 101 current infrastructure support a similar event?
Another great local parade. Thanks City.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid without the numerous alternate routes Downtown has, Leucadia couldn't support a parade that size. We'll have to enjoy the quality or our Neptune Parade not the quantity a cluster-flock would bring. (Like how I cleaned that term up?)
ReplyDeleteYou could divert traffic to the northbound lanes, making it a 2 lane road for the event and have the parade (or street fair) in the southbound lanes.
ReplyDeleteDon't light up the E - just spell it Ncinitas...
ReplyDeleteI liked that multi-person bicycle with the wild light show on top!
ReplyDeleteHow cool to parade in a roundabout. Maybe someday.
ReplyDeleteI parade in the roundabouts everyday!
ReplyDeleteWoke up from my nap around 7pm, and missed everything.
ReplyDeleteGuess I'll try again next year.
The parade was great! Not only did my kids both march proudly in the parade, but my younger brother and sister also participated. It was great to see that the L.A./AZ. invasion and "yuppification" of Encinitas haven't complely killed the local charm.
